In a nutshell, "Drive" is about getting away from your problems by going for a drive. I was loving this song! Not to mention the girl can sing. It's a very sensual song, it's got a touchy-feely, go dance in the rain type thing. This song reminds me somewhat of Sonique's 2000 dance hit "It Feels So Good."

The 35-year-old songwriter Raquela is no newcomer to the music industry; she has 16-20 years of experience and it shows. Her pure voice is capable of hitting high notes without sounding glass shattering or imitated. With some of her major influences being, long time artists, Tina Turner and Cher, it's no wonder she's a fan of the "disco era."

As for the song's inspiration, it was based on a road trip with a friend of hers. After Raquelas leaving high school, she noticed how many cities she moved to, till she made her place in NYC. It was 13 times in total! Raquela says, "it sums up what it was I was trying to do with that neurotic moving." Drive is a transcending, upbeat, and hypnotic tune. It's bouncy beats, stimulating sounds, and candid lyrics will really pull you in. - Robin
